WP5: Implementation of the Atlantic Maritime Knowledge Network

Objectives:
The main objective of this WP is to officially establish a Knowledge Centre that will support the actions of this project and that will continue developing these activities once the project has finished. The conformation of this Network will be the key to assure the sustainability of the interactions between educational and sector agents along Atlantic area, in order to keep working for a more competitive maritime sector. An executive Committee will be created, made up by representatives of the sectors involved in the project in each country. Likewise, a Stakeholders committee that will be made up by members of the consortium will be defined to provide technical support until the Centre is consolidated (at least one year).
The physical tool on which to develop new synergies and promote new actions will be the online platform, although periodic meeting will be held among the members of the committee, to discuss new projects and develop new activities among members of the network.

Description of work
T 5.1 Development the Atlantic Maritime Knowledge Centre
Duration: M14 – M24
Description: The Maritime Knowledge Centre will develop the functions of logistic hub for the network (knowledge, tools and facilities). The Centre will be in charge of designing periodically newsletter, planning events (workshops and forums), manage and coordinate the update of information and sectoral surveillance service, designing new courses and webinars and keep update the platform.
T 5.2 Registration of the Maritime Knowledge Centre
Duration: M14 – M24
Description: The Centre will be officially registered and members that constitute the Stakeholders Committee and technical unit will be defined. The legal form that the centre will adopt will be agreed in consensus with the members of the committee (foundation, association, brand…)
T 5.3 Maritime Knowledge Centre Viability Strategy
Duration: M14 – M24
Description: The financial viability of the Maritime Knowledge Centre will be studied, in order to develop a business plan that considers various development strategies that ensure its technical economic and financial sustainability. Thus, a business model that will consider economic viability, business model development and Property Rights strategy will be developed.
