Work Package 6

WP6: Communication and Dissemination

Lead beneficiary: Port Authority of Vigo

Participants: Uvigo-CdM, ICSEM, Port of Vigo, Aclunaga, LRU, CIT, MI, Cespesca

Objectives: The main objectives of this WP are to disseminate the project´s objectives and related actions developed, disseminate the results (WP2) in the Industry and in Educational and Training Centres, and to policy makers, to boost the updating of training curricula. Communication strategy will be focused also in disclosing about the events and meeting organised and raise awareness of the functions and services that the network and Maritime Knowledge Centre provide in order to promote the incorporation of new industry members, new economic sectors and the inclusion of professionals to the network. The achievements reached throughout the project will be disseminated in order to maximise their impact of the project. Particular tools and activities will be developed and implemented to reach the target audience, attending to the objectives of each target group: young graduates (Blue hackathon, training programs), professionals related to blue sectors, unemployed, training institutions and research institutions, Blue sectors industry, policy makers (at national, regional and international level) and civil society in general. Specific activities will be develop to promote the dissemination of Blue Careers opportunities and project dissemination, such as meetings, workshops, presentation of the results of the project at international conferences and Blue Careers EXPO. At the same time, the project web page and social media will be used to ensure the dissemination of the activities of the project.

Description of work

T 6.1 Communication and dissemination plan

Duration: M1 – M24

Description: The communication Plan will include the communication strategy at European and regional level: social networks, magazine publications, fairs and workshop organization as well as participation at European/international conferences and workshops. Definition of the communication strategy (i) with stakeholders and (ii) with the general public to raise public awareness.

T 6.2 Design of the communication items

Duration: M1 – M24

Description: Design of the corporation profile (logo) for the Atlantic Maritime Knowledge Network, preparation and of dissemination material, setup of relevant social media channels, and newsletter structure.

T 6.3 Digital tool Platform

Duration: M1 – M24

Description: Design and development the project web page linked to the digital platform for the Digital Atlantic Cluster of Blue Careers. The platform and associated project website will provide open access to project updates, results and events information and make project reports available. the platform will be enabled with a leaning environment (designed in WP 3) to promote the quality and adequacy of the skills of university/vocational training graduates to business demand, a C to B tool (designed in WP 2) GIS cartographic viewer showing the ecosystem (elements and relationships between them) of the target sectors (designed in WP 2), a service surveillance service of skill and job offers related to the maritime sector in the Atlantic Sea Basin and founding opportunities, and a newsletter, while offering an updated calendar of events related to training and professional development in considered sectors. This interactive platform will be associated with a programme of knowledge and professionals exchange. The website will give the project aims and objectives, projects team and collaborators, activities and updates and be accessible online to a wide audience.

T 6.4 Dissemination of project results to industry, academia and policy makers

Duration: M1 – M24

Description: Specific actions will be developed to reach key stakeholders on three main target groups: Maritime Educational Centres, Maritime industry and Policy makers. The results and challenges of the project will be integrated reinforcing the contents for the target audience and raise visibility of the Blue Careers Digital Cluster opportunities

T 6.5 Dissemination of Blue Careers opportunities

Duration: M1 – M24

Description: The results of the professional opportunities, training itineraries to access them and the activities and maritime sectors will be publish through the proyect web page to disseminate about the port activity in the analysed sectors. Moreover, One Blue Careers EXPO will be developed during the project lifetime, in order to raise awareness of the Blue Careers opportunities. Professionals of the maritime port sector, trainers and public authorities along with young graduates will participated in the Fairs, apart from society in general. In addition, partial presentations of actions of the project will be developed every 6 months, and each time in one of the countries
